Chief Secretary Reviews Progress of ₹1,294-Crore Tehri Lake Development Project.

Tehri: Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand, Anand Vardhan, conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing tourism infrastructure projects under the Tehri Garhwal district. During his visit, the Chief Secretary reviewed the construction of the under-progress tourism corridor extending from Koti and Jakh to the Dobra Chanti suspension bridge, along with the eco-park being developed by the Tourism Department in the Dobra bridge area.

A massive project worth approximately ₹1,294 crore is proposed for the sustainable, inclusive, and climate-resilient tourism development of the Tehri Lake region. During the inspection, officials briefed the Chief Secretary on the holistic development plans drafted across six designated clusters: Dobra Chanti, Tiwar Gaon, Koti Colony, New Tehri, Madan Negi, and the Core Lake Cluster.
