Dehradun — The Asian School conducted a two-day Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on “Experiential Learning” on 14 and 15 September 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The programme was attended by 56 educators and facilitated by two resource persons from CBSE: Dr. Geeta Shukla and Mrs. Anju Varma.
The workshop was designed to strengthen teachers’ understanding of experiential learning and to equip them with practical strategies for making classroom instruction more engaging and learner-centred.
The first day centred on learning through experience, reflection, and active participation. Sessions included poem enactment, theme visualisation, and experiential lesson planning, with teachers examining methods to connect classroom concepts to real-life contexts.
The second day addressed the practical application of experiential learning in daily instruction. Discussions covered strategies for developing critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration, along with multidisciplinary learning, the use of digital resources, and independent reading and writing.
The Capacity Building Programme concluded on 15 September 2026, providing participating educators with strategies to apply experiential and reflective approaches in their classrooms.
