CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Reviews 12 Key Projects Worth ₹6,940 Crore.

 

Chief Minister fixes deadline of October 15, 2026, for projects with 50% work completed; warns of strict action against officers for unnecessary delays.

Deharadun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami chaired a high-level review meeting at the State Secretariat, using the PRAGATI (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation) portal to conduct a detailed assessment of various critical infrastructure and development projects across the state. During the meeting, detailed progress reports were taken for 12 major projects, worth a cumulative ₹6,940 crore, spanning departments such as Transport, Energy, PWD, National Highways, and the Border Road Organisation (BRO). On this occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized that everyone’s contribution is vital to realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047.

To accelerate the execution of these mega projects, the Chief Minister issued directives stating that reviews will now be conducted every month at the Chief Minister’s level and every 10 days at the Chief Secretary’s level. He warned that accountability will be strictly fixed on the concerned officials for any delays, and stringent action will be taken as per rules. He further mandated that projects which have already achieved 50% physical completion must be fully completed by October 15, 2026.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government’s absolute priority is the timely completion of all developmental projects. He instructed that for projects facing bottlenecks due to land transfer, forest clearances, land acquisition, compensation payouts, or other administrative hurdles, the departments involved must take swift, coordinated action to resolve them immediately.

The Chief Minister ordered officials to utilize the PRAGATI portal as an effective monitoring mechanism to review every project regularly and resolve pending cases in a time-bound manner. He remarked that unnecessary delays not only stall development but also adversely impact public interest and economic activities.

The high-level meeting thoroughly reviewed the progress of several high-profile projects, including Ramnagar ISBT (Inter-State Bus Terminus), Ranikhet Bus Terminal, Tarikhet Depot and Workshop, Banbasa and Rudraprayag Power Substation projects, Chardham Road Projects, Askot-Lipulekh Road, Mana Pass Road Project and National Highway projects in Haridwar and Kashipur regions.

CM Dhami issued explicit timelines to the respective departments to clear pending matters related to forest land transfer, environmental clearances, land acquisition, and compensation distribution. He also directed the District Magistrates (DMs) to personally monitor and ensure the swift resolution of pending cases at the district level.

The Chief Minister concluded by stating that projects linked to the Chardham Yatra, strategically vital border road networks, power infrastructure, and transport facilities are absolutely critical for the holistic development of the state and public convenience. The timely execution of these projects will give a massive boost to tourism, trade, investment, and employment generation. He directed officials to establish clear lines of accountability, maintain rigorous monitoring, and formulate a specialized action plan for projects lagging behind to ensure immediate results.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretaries R.K. Sudhanshu and Dr. R. Meenakshi Sundaram; Secretaries Brijesh Kumar Sant and Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey; Additional Secretaries Dr. Meherban Singh Bisht and Banshidhar Tiwari; along with senior officials of the concerned departments, while District Magistrates joined virtually.
