ITBP Inducts 133 New Young Officers Following Passing Out Parade.

Mussoorie: The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) force inducted 133 new young officers into its ranks. A grand Passing Out Parade (POP) was organized in Mussoorie. Following the successful completion of their rigorous and challenging training, 132 Assistant Commandants and one female Deputy Commandant (Specialist Doctor) officially joined the mainstream of the ITBP. The Chief Guest, Chief Justice, India, Surya Kant, took the salute of the parade and felicitated the outstanding trainees.

The parade commenced with Director General Shatrujeet Kapoor welcoming and honoring the Chief Guest and other distinguished dignitaries. Subsequently, the trainee officers presented an impeccable march past and paid compliments to the Chief Guest.

The officers who successfully joined the mainstream of the force underwent a demanding training regimen lasting 18 to 50 weeks. During this training, they received intensive instruction in vital subjects such as combat skills, weapon handling, tactical strategies, physical efficiency, intelligence gathering, map reading, military administration, law, justice & human rights, disaster management, and leadership capabilities. The trainee officers were selected from various states across the country.

In his address, Chief Justice Surya Kant congratulated the newly commissioned officers, stating that the ITBP is one of the country’s most elite security forces, operating under the most grueling conditions. He said that ITBP personnel and officers ensure national security while deployed at altitudes of nearly 19,000 feet and in temperatures plummeting to minus 45 degrees Celsius along the country’s borders. Along with border security, the force continues to play a pioneering role in internal security, VIP security, safeguarding vital installations, disaster relief and rescue operations, and fulfilling other responsibilities assigned by the Central Government.

The PoP ceremony was attended by ITBP Director General Shatrujeet Kapoor, senior officers of the force, retired officers, representatives of the local administration, parents of the trainee officers, and other prominent dignitaries.
