State Health Authority issues a recovery notice of Rs 70.54 lakh Roorkee Hospital of Haridwar.

Dehradun: The State Health Authority (SHA) has removed the Roorkee Hospital of Haridwar from its panel of hospitals. The authority responsible for implementation of the ambitious Ayushman Yojana and State Government Health Scheme (SGHS) has also registered an FIR against the hospital and sent a recovery notice of Rs 70.54 lakh on it.

The SHA said that the certificate of National Accreditation Board and Hospitals (NABH) submitted by the Roorkee Hospital for the listing does not match with the certificate shown on the portal of National Health Authority. Recently the NABH has also issued a circular in which it has asked to remain alert on complaints of fake certificates.

The SHA has also started a process of recovery of Rs 70,54,118 from the hospital. The hospital will have to deposit this amount within a week.It is pertinent to mention here that the NABH evaluates hospitals and issues entry level and full NABH certificates. The SHA gives an incentive of 10 per cent for entry level and 15 per cent for full NABH. Also, there is no obligation of referral in hospitals with NABH certificates.

The chief executive officer of State Health Authority, Reena Joshi said that Ayushman is a public welfare scheme and any violation in its implementation will not be tolerated.
