Training Workshop for State Finance Cadre Trainee Officers at the State Health Authority

Dehradun: In the auditorium of the State Health Authority, Uttarakhand, trainee finance officers from the State Finance Service Cadre were provided with detailed information about the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Atal Ayushman Yojana, and the State Government Health Scheme. The financial aspects of these schemes were also discussed.

While presiding over the workshop, Arvind Singh Hyanki, Chairman of the State Health Authority, urged all trainees to work throughout their careers with a positive mindset, discipline, timeliness, quality, and a humane approach. He described Ayushman as the most significant welfare scheme for public health and highlighted the challenges, obstacles, and resolution efforts involved in the scheme’s implementation. He stated that under Ayushman, free healthcare services up to ₹5 lakh per family per year are provided at empanelled hospitals. The authority regularly monitors these hospitals. The State Government Health Scheme is being run to provide cashless health services to government employees and pensioners. He also shared his own professional experiences with the trainees.

Abhishek Anand, Director (Finance) of the State Health Authority, explained the functioning of the schemes, hospital empanelment process, treatment, payment procedures, portal development, and other implementation activities. He also addressed the challenges of the scheme, complexities in the financial aspects, and methods for resolving them.

He informed that, as per NHA (National Health Authority) guidelines, around 1900 medical packages have been included in the scheme. To assist the general public, ‘Ayushman Mitras’ have been deployed in all empanelled hospitals. The National Anti-Fraud Unit and State Anti-Fraud Unit are operational for verifying hospital claims. He also elaborated on the roles of PPD (Pre-Authorization Processing Doctor) and CPD (Claim Processing Doctor) in the scheme. In addition to Ayushman, he provided information on Vay Vandana Cards and cashless treatment facilities for road accident victims.

Present at the occasion were Dr. Vinod Tolia, Director (Administration) of the State Health Authority; Nikhil Tyagi, Additional Director (Administration); Puneet Gupta, and trainee officers Mayank Saxena, Ayushi Joshi, Rajeev Kant, Satish Chandra, Lalit Mohan Pandey, Akash Raghuvanshi, Deepak Joshi, among others.
