Dehradun: The state’s Minister of Tourism, Religious Affairs, Culture, Public Works, Irrigation, Panchayati Raj, Rural Construction, and Watershed Management, Satpal Maharaj, has extended his best wishes to the people of the country on the occasion of the opening of the gates of Hemkund Sahib.
He stated that following the opening of the Char Dham shrines, the gates of the Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara have also been opened under the leadership of the *Panj Pyare* (Five Beloved Ones), and nearly 5,000 devotees witnessed this divine moment.
Tourism, Religious Affairs, and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj noted the overwhelming enthusiasm among Sikh devotees for the darshan (pilgrimage) of Hemkund Sahib. He mentioned that devotees wait for several months for this opportunity. He also informed that although the Govindghat vehicle bridge was damaged two months ago, with the support of the government and administration, a new bridge was completed on time. As a result, the yatra (pilgrimage) will now proceed smoothly and without disruption.
