Dehradun: The CEO of the State Health Authority, Reena Joshi, has issued formal instructions to all Hospitals enlisted under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme will now be required to implement several measures to enhance beneficiary services. These include displaying the scheme’s toll-free number in every ward, setting up waiting rooms near ICUs, and ensuring patient feedback forms are mandatory.
To ensure that Ayushman beneficiaries do not face any inconvenience at hospitals, the authority is actively monitoring the situation and collecting various types of feedback. CEO Reena Joshi said that it is a top priority to ensure that every beneficiary receives the full benefit of this public welfare scheme. There have been reports of hospitals misleading beneficiaries or charging money under the guise of treatment, which needs to be curbed.
She said that listed hospitals must install display boards with information related to the Ayushman scheme within their premises. Additionally, the toll-free number of the authority must be clearly posted in every ward, written in both Hindi and the local language, stating that beneficiaries can call the number in case of any issue.
She further added that problems such as lack of waiting rooms near ICUs and insufficient parking have also been reported at some institutions. Hospitals have now been instructed to create waiting rooms adjacent to ICUs. To reduce queues, token displays must be installed, proper arrangements must be made in waiting areas, and feedback forms for patients are now compulsory.The hospitals must confirm timely implementation of these directives and any negligence or irregularities in the execution of the Ayushman scheme will not be tolerated
