Dehradun: The 38th National Games will be held in Uttarakhand from January 28 to February 14, 2025. The complete schedule will be released at the General Assembly meeting of the Indian Olympic Association, scheduled for October 25, 2024. Along with the National Games, the Winter National Games will also be organized in Uttarakhand.
Chief Minister Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami met with Dr. P.T. Usha, President of the Indian Olympic Association, in New Delhi. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to Dr. P.T. Usha for entrusting Uttarakhand with the responsibility of hosting the 38th National Games and extended an invitation to her for a visit to the shrines of Badrinath and Kedarnath.
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is fully prepared to host the 38th National Games. Infrastructure has already been developed for the event. He assured that the National Games in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand will be organized in a grand manner. Based on the experiences of previous host states, Uttarakhand will work to ensure the best possible organization of the Games. He emphasized that the aim is to make the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand the best so far.
The Chief Minister said that the players and visitors from across the country will be provided with top-notch facilities. He mentioned that hosting the National Games in Uttarakhand will boost the morale and enthusiasm of the local people. The National Games will also provide a great platform for Uttarakhand, giving emerging athletes a valuable opportunity to excel.
Special Principal Secretary for Sports, Mr. Amit Sinha, and Resident Commissioner Mr. Ajay Mishra were also present on this occasion.
