The international program was held in January 2025, bringing together researchers and professionals from around the world to explore innovative practices in solid waste management and environmental sustainability. Shubham was selected as a full scholarship awardee for this global event.

Shubham credits this achievement to the support of his family and his research supervisor, Dr. Amit Kumar, whose guidance helped him secure this opportunity. Reflecting on the experience, Shubham said, “Such international exposure not only enhances academic learning but also broadens one’s worldview. I hope more students from the country get opportunities like this and represent India globally.”

During the program, he visited advanced waste management facilities such as landfills, a Material Recovery Facility (MRF), DFW Airport, and the AT&T Stadium. He also received expert training on topics including leachate design, landfill gas recovery, and circular economy models.
