Rs 5 Crore released fo Soban Singh Jeena Univarsity: Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat.

Dehradun: The State government has released a sum of Rs five crore for the construction of Champawat campus of Soban Singh Jeena university. The government has appointed the Bridge Ropeway Tunnel and other Infrastructure Development Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (BRIDCUL) as the work executing agency.

The Higher Education minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has directed the work execution agency to ensure that there is no laxity in the construction works. He said that a sum of Rs 10 crore has been earmarked in the budget for the university and on the first instalment of Rs five crore has been released.

Rawat said that the sum will be used to construct a central library and mini sports stadium in Champawat campus. He averred that the campus situated in the border area will be developed as a centre of excellence so the quality education is available for the students of the area.
