Dehradun: IMS Unison University marks a significant milestone today as it has successfully hosted its 9th Convocation Ceremony, celebrating years of academic dedication and excellence, demonstrated by its graduating students. The ceremony commenced at 10:30 AM at the distinguished Vedanta Hall, DIT University, Dehradun. The prestigious occasion was graced by Mrs. Revathi Kamath, renowned entrepreneur, philanthropist, and environmentalist, who attended as the Chief Guest. Known for her contribution to sustainable architecture and rural development, her presence brought great inspiration to the graduating class. The University was also honoured by the presence of Dr. Sridhar Babu Addanki, IAS, Secretary, Social Welfare, Labour and Planning Department, Government of Uttarakhand. Dr. Sridhar attended the ceremony as the Guest of Honour, offering a powerful symbol of professional excellence in the state’s administration. The formal ceremony began with the traditional academic procession, reflecting the values, heritage, and scholarly dignity upheld by the institution. This was followed by the Chief Guest officially declaring the Convocation “Open”. The distinguished dignitaries were then felicitated by the University authorities in recognition of their exemplary contributions to society and their respective fields. In his visionary address at the Convocation, Honourable Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Anil SubbaRao Paila reaffirmed the University’s steadfast vision of nurturing graduates who embody not only academic and professional distinction but also an unwavering commitment to national integrity and responsible citizenship with their empowered minds.
The central segment of the convocation witnessed the conferral of degrees upon 549 graduating students across the following programmes: PhD in Management, PhD in Law, PhD in Hotel Management, MBA, Integrated Integrated BBA–MBA, LLM, BBA, B. Com (Honours), BBA LL.B., BA LL.B., BA in Media and Communication Design, Bachelor of Hotel Management, and Bachelor of Arts. In recognition of exceptional academic achievement and discipline, the Founder Chairman’s Medal was awarded to Ms. Radhika Suri from the Integrated BBA–MBA programme, while the President’s Medal was conferred upon Ms. Vedanshi Oli from the Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communication Design programme. Adding further distinction to the ceremony, ten students were honoured with Gold Medals for their outstanding academic performance, while five students were conferred with PhD degrees, marking their significant contribution to advanced research and scholarship.
