Dehradun: During the visit of Tapan Kumar Deka, Director of Intelligence Bureau (IB), to Uttarakhand, Abhinav Kumar, Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttarakhand, welcomed him at the Police Officers’ Mess in Kishanpur. In this meeting, the two top officials had an in-depth discussion on the state’s internal security and the strengthening of the intelligence network. They emphasized enhancing mutual cooperation and coordination to maintain the highest level of security in the state.
The discussion included important deliberations on emerging security challenges in the state, various aspects of internal security, and ways to improve coordination between intelligence agencies. A commitment was made to take concrete steps toward making the state’s security system even more effective in the future. This meeting was not only significant from the perspective of state security, but it also gave a new direction to the cooperation and coordination between Uttarakhand Police and intelligence agencies.
On this occasion, senior police officers P. V. K. Prasad, Additional Director General of Police/Director of Prosecution, Sanjay Gunjyal, IG, ITBP, Dr. V. Murugesan, Additional Director General of Police, CBCID, Mr. A. P. Anshuman, Additional Director General of Police, Intelligence and Security along with all Inspectors General of Police and Deputy Inspectors General of Police were present.
