Dehradun: With efforts from the Uttarakhand government, a cycling facility has been introduced at Maharana Pratap Sports Complex to make the 38th National Games more environmentally friendly and health-conscious. This initiative aims not only to reduce pollution but also to encourage people to adopt a fit and active lifestyle.
Through this facility, spectators and volunteers will be able to easily commute to different locations within the sports complex using bicycles, thereby reducing traffic congestion and carbon emissions. This step aligns with the Uttarakhand government’s vision for environmental conservation.
Under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state government is continuously working to ensure the smooth conduct of the games while providing the best possible facilities to athletes and spectators. This initiative will not only add a new dimension to the National Games but also help establish Uttarakhand as an ideal state for eco-friendly and health-oriented sports events.
This innovative effort by the Uttarakhand government will serve as an inspiration to raise awareness about sports among the public and encourage sustainable practices in sporting events.
