Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed officials during a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence to initiate a High-Altitude Ultra Marathon to promote tourism. In the Kumaon region, the marathon will be organized from Gunji to Adi Kailash, and in Garhwal, from Niti Mana to Malari.
He instructed officials to include this event in the annual tourism calendar and ensure its regular organization every year on a fixed date.
The Chief Minister also directed officials to Strengthen the disaster management system, Ensure timely disbursement of relief funds to affected people, Formulate a comprehensive plan for fencing (including solar fencing) to protect crops in border and hilly areas.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, and Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari.
