CM Pushkar Dhami and Officials Pay Tribute to Victims of Ahmedabad Plane Crash.

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the plane crash that occurred in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, during a meeting with senior officials at the Chief Minister’s residence. He observed a moment of silence to pray for the peace of the departed souls and expressed his condolences to the grieving families.

The Chief Minister said that this accident is extremely tragic and painful for the country and the world. The state government’s sympathies are with the families of the deceased in this time of sorrow. The entire nation is mourning this heart-wrenching tragedy, and prayers are being offered across the country and abroad.

On June 12, 2025, at approximately 1:39 PM IST (08:09 UTC), just seconds after taking off from Ahmedabad for London Gatwick, Boeing 787–8 (VT-ANB), flight AI-171, crashed. The aircraft was carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members. Out of these, 241 people died in the air and at least 28 on the ground, resulting in a total of 269 fatalities. One person survived.
