Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Reviews Preparations for the 38th National Games.

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inspected the preparations for the 38th National Games, scheduled to be held in Uttarakhand from January 28 to February 14. He visited the Maharana Pratap Stadium in Dehradun, accompanied by the State Sports Minister Rekha Arya.

Amit Kumar Sinha, CEO of the 38th National Games, provided the Chief Minister with a detailed briefing on the preparations and arrangements for the event. He stated that all competition venues are ready and special arrangements have been made to welcome the participants.

During the review of preparations, the Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure that all arrangements prioritize the comfort and convenience of athletes and visitors. He emphasized maintaining cleanliness and directed that LED screens be set up at the district and block levels during the opening ceremony so that people can easily watch the live broadcast. He highlighted that this is a golden opportunity for Uttarakhand to establish a distinct identity at the national level.

The Chief Minister also issued directives to ensure smooth operations of all essential facilities around the sports venues. He emphasized adequate arrangements for transportation, accommodation, healthcare, and other basic necessities for athletes and visitors.

The National Games are being organized in Uttarakhand with the theme of “Green Games.” Considering the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister instructed the police and administration to ensure optimal arrangements. He stressed that the public should not face any inconvenience during the opening ceremony. The police were directed to provide timely information on route plans and ensure adequate parking facilities.

The Chief Minister further stated, “This is an excellent opportunity for Uttarakhand to promote sports in the state. It will increase youth interest in sports and facilitate the development of sports infrastructure, enabling the state to host many more sports events in the future.”

The opening ceremony of the 38th National Games will be held on January 28 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun. Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the grand event.

Meenakshi Sundaram, Mr. Shailesh Bagoli, Mr. Sachin Kurve, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Mr. Vinod Kumar Suman, Additional Director General of Police Mr. V. Murugesan, Mr. A.P. Anshuman, Garhwal Commissioner Mr. Vinay Shankar Pandey, IG Garhwal Mr. Rajeev Swaroop, District Magistrate Dehradun Mr. Savin Bansal, MDDA Vice-Chairman Mr. Banshidhar Tiwari, Director of Sports Mr. Prashant Arya, and SSP Dehradun Mr. Ajay Singh were also present.
