By-Election in Kedarnath Assembly Constituency Concludes Successfully with 57.64% Voter Turnout

Dehradun: By-election for the 07-Kedarnath Assembly Constituency was conducted peacefully and transparently. A total voter turnout of 57.64% was recorded by 6 PM. Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Vijay Kumar Jogdande congratulated all officials and personnel for the successful completion of the election and expressed gratitude to the district residents for their cooperation. Poll counting will take place on Saturday, 23 November 2024.

Dr. Jogdande stated that a total of 57.64% of the electorate participated in the Kedarnath by-election. This time, the constituency had 90,875 registered voters, including 45,956 women and 44,919 men.

He further informed that voting was conducted peacefully across all polling stations within the assembly constituency, with no reports of untoward incidents. Most polling parties stationed at the voting locations have begun their return journey. As per the Election Commission’s instructions, seven polling parties are expected to reach the Agastyamuni counting center by approximately 9-10 AM tomorrow.
