Uttarkashi – The BJP has intensified door-to-door campaigning for the victory of its candidate in the Badahat Municipal Council. BJP chairman candidate Kishore Bhatt has sought blessings from the people by campaigning in every house in the Gangori ward in the name of development.
On Sunday, the BJP campaigned door-to-door in support of their chairman candidate Kishore Bhatt in the Gangori area of the Badahat Municipal Council (Uttarkashi). Senior BJP leaders campaigned alongside candidate Kishore Bhatt, seeking votes in Gangori Pul, the market, villages, and the entire area. Local residents told Bhatt about the issues of electricity, water, roads, drainage, and parking in the ward. They said that despite being included in the urban area, the Gangori region has remained neglected in terms of development. The municipality has not undertaken any development work here.
While interacting Bhatt assured the local people that a grand bathing and worship ghat would be constructed in Gangori for the Panchkosi Yatra. In addition to religious activities, a place for yoga and meditation will also be developed at the confluence of Asi and Ganga. Drains and footpaths will be constructed on both sides of the road in the Gangori market. Considering the waterlogging during the monsoon, safe work will be undertaken on the roads. Moreover, the Gangori and Ganeshpur areas will be developed as a tourism destination. He said that flood protection measures and waste disposal plans would be developed for Gangori.
