8th Convocation of IMS Unison University (IUU), Dehradun held.

Dehradun: The prestigious occasion of the 8th Convocation of IMS Unison University (IUU) held on December 7, 2024, witnessed a landmark celebration in which a total of 665 degrees and 12 gold medals, along with the Founder Chairman Medal and the President’s Medal were conferred. Hon’ble Mr. Kamal Bali, President & Managing Director of Volvo Group India) was the chief guest of the ceremony. The Guest of Honour was Dr.Apoorva Palkar, Founding Vice Chancellor of Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University ((RTMSSU).

The academic achievers of Ph.D., MBA (2022-24), IMBA (20-24), Master of Law (2023-24), MA (M&CD) (2022-24), MA (English) (2022-24), BBA (2021-24), B. Com(Hons) (2021-24), BHM (2020-2024), BA LLB (Hons.) (2019-24), BBA LLB (Hons.) (2019-24) BAJMC (2021-24), BA( Hons.) (2021-24) were felicitated.

The Shri Naveen Agarwal, Founder Chairman Medal was awarded to Sarthak Baluni and the President’s Medal was awarded to Isha Kansal.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in School of Mass Communication (SoMC) was awarded to 1 recipient, and in School of Law (SOL) to 2 recipients.

Gold medals were awarded to 12 toppers of the various batches. It is interesting to note that 9 out of the total 12 gold medalists were girls.

The Annual Convocation began with the Academic Procession and the tone of the 8th Convocation was set by the rendition of the National Anthem. The Chief Guest Mr. Kamal Bali, President & Managing Director of Volvo Group India declared the Convocation open. This was followed by the welcome address by (Dr) Anil SubbaRao Paila, Vice Chancellor, IMS Unison University.

In his address, Dr.Anil SubbaRao Paila congratulated all 665 graduating students and extended his well wishes for their bright future. He remarked that the graduating students have reached an important milestone and are now stepping into a new phase of their journey. He also conveyed his steadfast belief in their ability to achieve enormous success in life.

In his Convocation address, the Chief Guest Mr. Kamal Bali congratulated the graduating students for their academic achievements. He commended the dedication of the students, teachers and staff, and the vision of the administration, especially the Chairman, for the heights the University has reached. He asserted that students graduating from the University are armed with knowledge, wisdom, and ethical values.

The Chief Guest also released the Souvenir on this auspicious occasion.

Guest of Honour, Dr. Apoorva Palkar, the Founding Vice Chancellor of Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University (RTMSSU) also shared that congratulated the students in their academic endeavors and wished the students good luck for their futures. She also commended the administration for being a beacon of higher education in Uttarakhand and commended them for reaching heights in academia.

The vote of thanks was proposed by the Registrar Col. Pranav Kumar and the ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.

The Convocation celebrated the determination and hard work of the students of IUU. The ceremony saw the presence of esteemed guests, media persons, students and proud parents of the graduating students. Throughout the programme, a sense of pride and achievement was palpable among the attendees.
