Dehradun: The 12th Edition of the Dehradun Half Marathon 2025, organized by Thrill Zone in association with Lawa Global and supported by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), was successfully held today, marking yet another powerful step in the city’s commitment to promote fitness and raise awareness against drug abuse.
This year’s event made history as the first-ever marathon to flag off from the iconic Rajeev Gandhi International Stadium, Dehradun, adding a special milestone to the marathon’s legacy.
With a vibrant display of enthusiasm and unity, the marathon witnessed participation from approximately 1,500 runners, including athletes from various states across India. The event also proudly welcomed visually impaired runners and wheelchair athletes, reinforcing Thrill Zone’s long-standing commitment to inclusivity and equal sporting opportunities for all.
The event was formally flagged off by the Chief Guest, Shri Amit Sinha, IPS, who emphasized the importance of community-led initiatives in combating drug abuse and encouraging youth towards healthier lifestyles.

Participants competed across four race categories,21 km Half Marathon,10 km Run,5 km Run,3 km Fun Run.
This year’s theme, “Run Against Drug Abuse,” served as a powerful reminder of the urgent need to protect the youth from the growing menace of narcotics. Through this event, Thrill Zone and its partners aimed to spread awareness, inspire positive choices, and foster a strong, drug-free community spirit.
Speaking on the occasion, event organizers expressed gratitude to all participants, partners, volunteers, and the Dehradun running community for making the 12th edition a resounding success.
