Dr. Verma further explained that “The key reasons behind uncontrolled asthma include irregular or improper use of inhalers and medication, continuous exposure to asthma triggers such as dust, pollen, smoke, pet dander, and cold air, as well as factors like mental stress, lack of sleep, and co-existing conditions like allergies, sinus issues, or obesity. Skipping regular follow-ups with a doctor also contributes to poor asthma control.”

Dr. Verma urged attendees not to ignore the early symptoms of asthma and to seek timely consultation with specialists. To reduce the risk of uncontrolled asthma, it is essential to avoid exposure to triggers such as tobacco smoke, dust, pollution, and pet dander. Maintaining a clean and smoke-free environment plays a crucial role in managing asthma effectively.
