Dehradun: The Indian Army – Headquarters, Central India Area has announced the third edition of the “Surya Half Marathon 2025”, scheduled to be held on November 16, 2025, at the Cobra Ground, Civil Lines, Jabalpur.
This prestigious event celebrates endurance, patriotism, and community spirit, bringing together thousands of runners, fitness enthusiasts, and citizens from across the country.
The theme for this year, “Fuel Your Spirit and Honour Their Courage,” inspires every participant to awaken their inner strength while paying tribute to the nation’s brave soldiers.
The 2025 edition will feature four race categories — the 21.097 km Half Marathon, 10 km Run, 5 km Run, and 3 km Fun Run, offering opportunities for participants of all ages and fitness levels to join in the celebration of unity and fitness.
The event will also feature Zumba warm-up sessions, live performances, and engaging entertainment activities for both participants and spectators. A total prize pool of ₹14 lakh has been announced for winners across categories. All finishers will receive medals, certificates, and official race kits.
A spokesperson for the Indian Army said, “The Surya Half Marathon stands as a symbol of courage and inspiration. Every stride taken by participants is a salute to the brave soldiers of our nation.”
They further added that this year’s theme, “Fuel Your Spirit and Honour Their Courage,” motivates every Indian to run with purpose and recognize their inner strength.
The event is being organized by LAVA Global Innovations and Thrill Zone, in collaboration with the Indian Army. Its objective is to promote physical and mental well-being, fitness, and a spirit of unity among citizens.
