Colors of Folk Culture to Shine on Uttarakhand State Foundation Day.

Dehradun: On the occasion of State Foundation Day, the colors of folk culture from the Himalayan states will shine across Uttarakhand. The heritage of hill folk dances, traditional attire, cuisine, literature, and folk songs will be shared among the people. From November 1 to November 9, various colorful events will be organized as part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations.

Providing details of the programs to be held during the Silver Jubilee celebrations, Secretary of Culture Yugal Kishore Pant said that the festivities will begin on November 1. Padma Shri, Padma Vibhushan, and Grammy Award-winning artists will perform during the event.

Eminent artists such as Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Dr. Sonal Mansingh, Malini Awasthi, and Ronuu Mazumdar will present their performances. Along with them, Garh Ratna Narendra Singh Negi, “Jagar Samrat” Pritam Bharatwan, and the Pandavaas Band will enthrall the audience with their music and songs. A Himalayan Haat will also be organized, showcasing hill cuisine, products, art, music, folk dance, theater, pottery workshops, and more. People will get an opportunity to know and understand the folk cultures of Uttarakhand as well as other Himalayan states. Preparations for the event have already begun.
